郗太傅在京口，乃江南之冠冕也。高步德行，粲然有容。号令既叙，文雅绮丽。才气兼备，洗绝于时。贵贱之分，皆犹同享。骑射登场，俨然神茫。雅言巧辞，得失从容。儿童悦实，玉帛填床。文采风姿，不可量衡。

Translation:

郗太傅 (Grand Tutor Xi) resided in Jingkou, he was the epitome of elegance and prestige in Jiangnan. With his high moral character and refined appearance, he exuded charm and grace. His orders and commands were eloquent and exquisite, his words were poetic and eloquent. His talent and intelligence were unrivaled by anyone of his time. Regardless of status or rank, all enjoyed his presence equally. Mounted on horseback, he displayed an air of divine majesty. His speech was graceful and his words were clever, always maintaining composure regardless of success or failure. Children adored him, and his bed was filled with precious gifts. His literary style and beauty were beyond measure.
